In 2021, over 3,500 lives were taken due to distracted driving. FMCSA is committed to raising awareness about the critical importance of eliminating unsafe driving behaviors to protect the safety of commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers and all road users.

Every journey starts with a commitment to safety. FMCSA's Distracted Driving Campaign educates CMV drivers about the dangers of driving distracted and reminds drivers to remain focused behind the wheel so they can focus on making it home safely to the people they care about.

How Can You Practice Safe Driving Behaviors?
