Job Title: Retired Truck Driver and Driver Education Instructor

Tom in His Own Words: As a professional trucker of 39 years, I have a lot of experience with driving trucks alongside other vehicles and I have witnessed some unsafe driving behaviors, like passenger vehicles hovering over trucks four times their size. If something were to happen, there would be no space for the truck to safely come to a stop. If I could share an important piece of advice: we should all show a little more patience on the road. More trucks, buses, and vehicles are on the road than ever before, and we all seem to be in a hurry to get to our destination. We need to share patience with one another – from passenger vehicles to truck and bus drivers and vice versa. We are all drivers and need to be more respectful to one another.
