FMCSA Advisory Committees

  • Medical Review Board (MRB)
    Composed of five physicians, MRB provides recommendations to the FMCSA Administrator on physical qualification standards for commercial motor vehicle drivers in interstate commerce. 
     
  • Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee (MCSAC)
    Chartered by the Secretary of Transportation in 2006, MCSAC provides recommendations to the FMCSA Administrator on motor carrier safety programs and regulations.
     
  • Truck Leasing Task Force (TLTF) 
    Chartered by the Secretary of Transportation in 2022, TLTF examines the terms, conditions, and equitability of common truck leasing arrangements, particularly as they impact owner-operators and trucking businesses. The committee is a collaboration between the U.S. Departments of Transportation and Labor.
     
  • Women of Trucking Advisory Board (WOTAB)
    Chartered by the Secretary of Transportation in 2022, WOTAB advises FMCSA on opportunities to provide education, training, mentorship, and outreach to women in the trucking industry and recruit, retain, or advance women across the industry.
