The Medical Review Board (MRB) provides recommendations to the FMCSA Administrator on the development and implementation of science-based physical qualification standards for commercial motor vehicle drivers in interstate commerce. The committee is composed of physicians selected from medical institutions and private practice with specialties relevant to FMCSA’s bus and truck driver fitness requirements. 

Member Nominations

FMCSA solicited nominations for MRB membership during an application period that closed on February 23, 2026. Members will be announced as soon as they are selected.
