On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, FMCSA is hosting an Our Roads, Our Safety® Week fair at the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Join members of the road safety community to learn about sharing the road safely with large trucks and buses.  

Date and time: May 8, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

Location: USDOT Headquarters, 1200 New Jersey Ave. SE, Washington, D.C. 20590 

The event will take place in two locations: New Jersey Ave. SE in front of the building and the Third Street Plaza, between the DOT buildings. 

Event Details 

New Jersey Ave. SE: Large trucks and buses will be on display for an interactive experience to highlight CMV safety challenges like blind spots, and to provide opportunities for attendees to see firsthand the CMV driver’s perspective of the road. 

Third St. Plaza: Attendees will have an opportunity to walk through the educational fair and engage with the road safety community about sharing the road safely.  

Our Roads, Our Safety^Ⓡ Week (May 5-11, 2024) is a national, annual safety observance dedicated to educating road users on sharing the road safely with large trucks and buses. Together with the larger safety community, FMCSA is committed to sharing safety tips, resources, and materials that help improve road safety and reach zero roadway deaths.
