FAQ006:  How does the “8 days within a 30-day period” ELD Exemption apply to Canada/Mexico domiciled motor carrier’s drivers when they are operating in the United States?

 Answer:  If a driver operates in the U.S. and is required to use a record of duty status for more than 8 days out of any 30-day period, the driver is subject to the ELD rule unless another ELD exemption applies.
