Mexico Cross-Border Trucking Pilot Program - Operational Update Reports

Overview

Between October 2011 and October 2014, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) monitored the safety performance of the motor carriers that participated in the Pilot Program. FMCSA's monitoring activities included the following:


• Reviewed driver and vehicle inspections
• Verified compliance with the terms of the motor carrier's operating authority
• Checked the status of drivers' licenses
• Confirmed the status of the motor carrier's insurance policies
• Examined crash reports
