FMCSA Removes Safe ELD (IOS and Android) and MYLOGS ELD from List of Registered Electronic Logging Devices
Today, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) removed Safe ELD (IOS and Android) and MYLOGS ELD from the agency’s list of electronic logging devices (ELDs). These devices were placed on the Revoked Devices list due to the companies’ failure to meet the minimum requirements established in Title 49 CFR Appendix A to Subpart B of Part 395.

FMCSA Issues Temporary Exemption to Support NRII Transition
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) issued a temporary exemption allowing interstate commercial driver’s license (CDL) holders, commercial learner’s permit (CLP) holders, and motor carriers to continue relying on a paper copy of the medical examiner’s certificate as proof of a driver’s medical certification for up to 60 days after the date the medical examiner’s certificate is issued. The exemption is in effect April 11, 2026 – October 11, 2026.
