Minneapolis, MN Road Show Event
-
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) will host a day-long information and discussion forum on the future of commercial vehicle safety on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
This will be the first of three scheduled “Road Show” regional forums taking place this summer. Following presentations by FMCSA senior executives and program specialists, the forum attendees will be invited to further discuss and explore both the challenges and the opportunities for strengthening large truck and bus safety. Some of the discussion topics will include: FMCSA priorities and goals and their alignment with commercial vehicle safety programs and activities; the Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) program; the Congressionally mandated electronic logging device (ELD) rule; large truck and bus traffic enforcement; and FMCSA’s State grant programs that support grass-roots commercial vehicle enforcement and safety programs.
