Tech-Celerate Now ROI Calculator

Welcome to the Tech-Celerate Now Return-on-Investment (ROI) Calculator Tool. This tool was developed as part of the Tech-Celerate Now project and with support from the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (VTTI).  The tool is based on the VTTI ROI calculator co-sponsored by FMCSA and the National Surface Transportation Safety Center for Excellence. The VTTI ROI calculator currently targets advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and video-based onboard safety monitoring. 

The Tech-Celerate Now ROI calculator capability builds on this earlier ROI calculator and is designed for ease-of-use and access by the stakeholder community, and utilizes pre-populated ranges provided by industry (e.g., OEMs, suppliers) to increase usability. Fleet managers and owner-operators are able to enter their fleet data into the ROI calculator, use default values or enter their own fleet-specific assessment for factors such as effectiveness level, and generate ROI results. No user data is saved; however, users can download a PDF version of their results for reference.
