High Priority Innovative Technology Deployment Grant

 

The High Priority Innovative Technology Deployment (HP-ITD) grant provides funding to advance the technological capability and promote the deployment of intelligent transportation system applications for commercial motor vehicle (CMV) operations, including CMV, commercial driver, and carrier-specific information systems and networks, and to support and maintain CMV information systems and networks to (i) link federal motor carrier safety information systems with State CMV systems; (ii) to improve safety and productivity of CMVs and commercial drivers;  and (iii) to reduce costs associated with CMV operations and regulatory requirements. Eligible Entities: 

  • States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  
  • Eligible applicants that have an approved program plan as outlined in the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act.

NOTE: For-profit organizations and individuals are NOT eligible.
