Question: Will the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) notify the industry when an electronic logging device (ELD) is under an investigation?

Answer: No. Consistent with its approach to other investigations, FMCSA will not publicize ELD investigations. Should an ELD investigation result in a device being deemed a noncompliant device, then that device will be listed on the ELD revoked list.

Contact Info: FMCSA ELD Information, 1-800-832-5660 or ELD@dot.gov.
