If a driver sets the duty status to On-Duty Not Driving and indicates a yard move, does the driver’s duty status have to remain On-Duty Not Driving until the driver manually indicates the end of that driving status?

Question: If a driver sets the duty status to On-Duty Not Driving and indicates a yard move, does the driver’s duty status have to remain On-Duty Not Driving until the driver manually indicates the end of that driving status?

Guidance: Yes, the driver must manually indicate the On-Duty Not Driving status, unless he or she is operating under the exemption, which expires October 20, 2022.
