Summary
FMCSA requests public comment on CCS Transportation, Inc.'s (CCS) application for an exemption from certain provisions in the hours-of-service (HOS) regulations. The applicant requests an exemption to permit short-distance commercial motor vehicle (CMV) movements to be logged as on-duty (not driving) yard moves on its drivers' electronic logging devices (ELD) during brief travel on local public roadways separating two CCS facilities.
