Jesse Elison
Jesse Elison serves as Chief Counsel for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) at the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT). He was appointed to this role in January 2025 and oversees legal services for FMCSA headquarters and field offices.
Mr. Elison was previously a partner at a law firm specializing in providing comprehensive representation to motor carriers and logistics companies. With two decades of experience in the legal profession, Mr. Elison has advised on compliance matters regulated by FMCSA, ensuring that transportation companies adhered to relevant laws and regulations.
Mr. Elison earned a B.A. in English from Brigham Young University, an M.T.S. from Harvard Divinity School and a J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law.
