RE: Declaration of Civil Preparedness Emergency

Dear Secretary Merrill:

Due to the severe weather conditions that caused significant damage to the state yesterday, for which the National Weather Service issued nine tornado warnings, I hereby proclaim a state of civil preparedness emergency, pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes Section 28-9.

I am filing this proclamation with you, under my hand and seal, on this 16th day of May 2018.
