STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA
OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR
EXECUTIVE ORDER 2020-06
By virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the State of South Dakota, I, KRISTI NOEM, Governor of the State of South Dakota, continue to find it necessary and appropriate to take action to ensure that COVID-19 remains controlled and that residents of South Dakota remain safe and secure:
NOW, THEREFORE, I do hereby extend Executive Order 2020-05 and order non-essential personnel of the offices of state government to report to work remotely and not report to state offices; I recognize that not all non-essential personnel are able to work remotely and in those instances, will be granted administrative leave as deemed necessary; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDERED, Essential personnel shall report to work as scheduled; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDERED, All work-related, out-of-state travel is prohibited; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDERED, This Executive Order shall be in effect 12:00 a.m. local time on Sunday, March 22, 2020 and shall continue until 11:59 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2020; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDERED, This Executive Order shall apply only to state employees within the Executive Branch of state government under the direct control of the Governor. All other units of government and the private business sector shall make independent judgments on this matter.
