DECLARATION OF EMERGENCY
Proclamation of the Clark County Manager Declaring a State of Emergency in the County of Clark, Nevada as a Result of the Impacts of Hurricane Hilary
WHEREAS, the National Weather Service is forecasting historic rainfall and potential significant flooding events in the Southwest United States due to Hurricane Hilary; and
WHEREAS, this Declaration seeks to assist Clark County, its agencies, employees, businesses and residents to efficiently respond to address the impacts to Clark County; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED that the County Manager of the County of Clark does hereby proclaim that, under the provisions of the Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 414 and Clark County Code Chapter 3.04, within the County of Clark, a state of emergency does exist to address the impacts to Clark County due to weather events created by storms related to Hurricane Hilary.
Nothing in this Declaration shall be construed to limit any emergency powers provided by federal, state or local laws.
