EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 28

NOTICE OF TERMINATION OF EXECUTIVE ORDER 26

WHEREAS, in late September 2025, the State of North Carolina was threatened by Tropical Depression Nine; and

WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 26, Declaration of a State of Emergency and Temporary Waiver and Suspension of Motor Vehicle Regulations, was issued on September 27, 2025; and

WHEREAS, Tropical Depression Nine strengthened to Hurricane Imelda and remained offshore; and

WHEREAS, this emergency declaration and the associated transportation waivers are no longer needed.

NOW, THEREFORE, by the power vested in me as Governor by the Constitution and laws of North Carolina, IT IS ORDERED:

Pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat.§ 166A-19.10(b)(2), Executive Order No. 26 is hereby terminated immediately.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto signed my name and affixed the Great Seal of the State of North Carolina at the Capitol in the City of Raleigh, this 6th day of October in the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty-five.
