Nebraska Executive Order Extension 20-21

EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 20-21
CORONAVIRUS - CONTINUED WAIVER OF MOTOR CARRIER SAFETY REGULATIONS
WHEREAS, commercial motor vehicles and motor carriers are engaged in the business of transporting food, supplies, and equipment in conjunction with the response to the COVID-19 pandemic;
WHEREAS, federal and state law determine the number of hours as well as the length and weight hauling requirements for drivers of commercial motor vehicles which deliver food, supplies, and equipment;
NOW THEREFORE, I, Pete Ricketts, Governor of the State of Nebraska, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of Nebraska, find these conditions will facilitate the continued granting of a waiver from the U.S. Department of Transportation - Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, pursuant to 49 CFR part 390.23 to allow relief from 49 CFR parts 390 through 399.
Pursuant to this declaration, I hereby order the following:
1. Executive Order No. 20-0 I, which is currently scheduled to end on May 1, 2020, shall remain in effect through the duration of the COVID- 19 state of emergency; and
2. The identical waivers, regulation suspension s, and conditions contained within Executive Order No. 20-01 shall continue through the duration of the COVID-19 state of emergency.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Nebraska to be affixed on this 29th day of April, 2020.
