SUBJECT: DECLARATION OF EMERGENCY, TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS, AND EXEMPTION OF HOURS OF SERVICE AND STOPPAGE AT WEIGH STATIONS

Whereas: Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Official Order Number 112153, declaring an emergency and suspending commercial vehicle weight station stoppage, weight, hours of service, permit fee and registration requirements is set to expire on April 12, 2020 at 12:01 am; and

Whereas: it is necessary to extend the provisions of this order in the interest of public health and safety in response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis;

Now, therefore, pursuant to the authority vested in me pursuant to KRS 189.230, KRS 189.233, KRS 281.270 and 49 CFR 390.23; I hereby declare that the entirety of the provisions of the aforementioned Official Order 112153 shall remain in full force and effect and are hereby extended to the 1st day of June 2020.
