WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) celebrated National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (NTDAW) from September 14–19, 2025, honoring the more than 3.5 million professional drivers who keep America’s supply chain moving.

On September 15, U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy joined truck drivers and safety partners at the Molly Pitcher Service Area in Cranbury, New Jersey to kick off the week’s activities. Secretary Duffy met with drivers to thank them for their essential work and to hear directly from them about the challenges and opportunities drivers face every day.

In addition to the New Jersey event, FMCSA participated in nearly 25 engagements with state partners across the country, distributing wellness bags, thank you postcards from Secretary Duffy, complimentary refreshments, and other appreciation materials to recognize and support America’s truck drivers.

This week’s activities further highlight FMCSA’s commitment to roadway safety and build on the Pro-Trucker Package announced by Secretary Duffy in June. The Package advances initiatives that improve working conditions for the nation’s truck drivers.
