Pursuant to section 5506 of the FAST Act, the FMCSA surveyed each State and the District of Columbia on the status of skills testing for commercial driver’s license (CDL) applicants.  The FAST Act required status information on wait times for initial skills tests and re-tests, the number of qualified CDL examiners available to test applicants, and the number of testing sites available in each State.  This report covers calendar year 2016.
