Transportation Research Board ART Sessions and ART Forum

FMCSA's Annual Analysis, Research, and Technology Sessions

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) held its 20th annual Analysis, Research, and Technology (ART) Sessions on March 10, 2021. In a departure from tradition, the event was not conducted in conjunction with the Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting; FMCSA instead conducted a virtual forum via Teams Live.

As in previous sessions, the forum attracted a diverse crowd of industry stakeholders, safety advocates, researchers, technology companies, Government representatives, and domestic and international transportation professionals. This year, FMCSA showcased several of our safety priorities and discussed efforts to safely integrate automated driving systems into the CMV industry. Other topics included new crash data initiatives, assessments of carrier interventions' effectiveness, and the agency’s research agenda.

Thank you for your interest in the 2021 ART Forum, and we look forward to seeing you next year.
