Large Truck and Bus Crash Facts 2017: Early Release

This early-release, annual edition of Large Truck and Bus Crash Facts contains descriptive statistics about fatal, injury, and property damage only crashes involving large trucks and buses in 2017. Selected crash statistics on passenger vehicles are also presented for comparison purposes.

At the time of publishing, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has not released 2017 data from the Crash Report Sampling System (CRSS), and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has not released the 2017 data on registered vehicles. This publication will be updated as these data become available.
