The Kansas Division of Vehicles, Commercial Motor Vehicle Division, does hereby authorize a temporary waiver of the International Registration Plan requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles traveling in and through Kansas to provide disaster relief from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

As a result of the emergency, the trip permit requirements set forth by the International Registration Plan (IRP) have been suspended for motor carriers transporting products in association with disaster assistance. This waiver applies to commercial vehicles traveling in and through the State of Kansas for the purpose of providing direct Coronavirus (COVID-19) assistance. This waiver, at this time, does not have an ending date. As additional information arises, we will continue to update IRP, Inc. on changes.

The Division of Vehicles will be closing at 5pm, March 20, 2020, until further notice.
