Commercial Driver's License Program and Controlled Substances and Alcohol Use and Testing
Final rule; technical amendments.
The Federal Highway Administration is making technical amendments to its alcohol and drug testing rules and its regulations implementing the commercial driver's license program. The testing rules require employers to test drivers who are required to obtain commercial driver's licenses (CDLs) for the illegal use of alcohol and controlled substances. The amendments are necessary to correct minor errors in the final rule, codify final dispositions of waivers of the commercial driver's license program, and make conforming metrification changes.
