This research initiative, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Transportation, engaged in several important activities including:

• Designing, developing, testing and evaluating a suite of security technologies for safeguarding cargo, assets and personnel
• Development of a research compendium of technologies, service providers and hazmat stakeholders

The Hazmat Technology Compendium includes contact information, product functionality and description, current market penetration, and pricing information for 88 different companies. This compendium can be found in Appendix C of the Final Deployment Report.
