Code of Federal Regulationsยง 375.511May I use an alternative method for shipments weighing 3,000 pounds or less?For shipments weighing 3,000 pounds or less (1,362 kilograms or less), you may weigh the shipment upon a platform or warehouse certified scale before loading for transportation or after unloading.
