The upcoming 57th Presidential Inauguration promises to be a momentous and memorable occasion. It also promises to bring a significant influx of travelers in cars and buses. And, we at the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) want to make sure everyone who travels in and out of the Washington, DC area arrives and leaves safely. This page provides some information and resources to help both passenger carriers and bus travelers to do just that.

We would like to remind all carriers to maintain safe practices on the road and obey all applicable Federal safety regulations.

Have you experienced safety, service or discrimination issues with a bus company?Please call 1-888-DOT-SAFT (368-7238) from 9am‒7pm, Mon‒Fri EST or go online to file a complaint with the FMCSA National Consumer Complaint Database, which can also be accessed using the SaferBus application. Remember, always call 911 in the case of a safety emergency.
